I agree that Miracle Whip ain't Mayo, it is better. Some things need Miracle Whip and some mustard, and some need both, particularly a ham sandwich. miles This is absolutely correct. You Duke snobs can KMA. I read recently that Miracle Whuppers are mud sharks. True? Actually, I think I heard somewhere that it's so bad it is "Destined to Take the Place of The Mud Shark in Your Mythology " Some guy said that in a song about Nanook. And walking across the frozen tundra and such. I thought you AK guys would know that. (yellow snow is equivalent to MW) Geno

Miracle whip is not mayo, it is salad dressing. Dukes is mayo at its best.
Hellmans, or Blue plate, (out west) is mayo.

The only thing I like on my banana sammich is chocolate chips! Geno PS. maybe that's genetic. I saw my old man make a chocolate pudding sandwhich once. Think it was that was around or handy.

Duke's is my first choice followed by Blue Plate.

Blue Plate is an excellent Mayonaise. I prefer Duke's to all others, and usually have some Hellmanns in stock as well. Some foods are better with that one. Blue Plate when I can find it, is always welcome though. expert advice............. after all his username is manlicker................

Good. Have some relatives coming from the Left coast who are Hellman's Mayo snobs and won't touch Miracle whip. Gonna clean out the house and make em use Duke's... That's good sense, not snobbery.

The funniest thing about this thread is that this debate has been going on longer than the gun control debate.
There's a time and place for everything.
Personally, I love Miracle Whip on a sandwich, but you've got to have Mayo for a lot of other things....potato salad, tuna salad, ect. My wife hates Miracle Whip. Admit to something less heinous, you know, like necrophilia.
