Had my mind set on the Leupold, but say Doug had the Minox as demos. Haven't looked at much other than Leupold for several years. Rifle will be a 17 HMR. Still have a 3-9x40 VX-II or two in the safe and just may use one of those.
Insights?
Edited to add, targets will be paper ground squirrels and steel at whatever range they appear .... basically a fun gun.

I prefer the Leupold Duplex ret over the Minox ret. The glass on the Minox is comparable to Zeiss Conquest but I just didn't like the reticle.
Leupold gets the win for me.

At that price, I'd be inclined to try the Minox.

I'm one of the somewhat rare, Minox fans. Got rid of all but one of my Leupolds, Weavers etc and replaced them with the Minox. AS rnovi stated, their optics are on the level of the Conquest scopes. They have a wide variety of crosshairs and are somewhat different if all you've ever looked through are Leupolds etc., but they do the job quite well. At the sale price Doug has on them, I'd be snapping a few up if I needed some more.

Its all right to be white!! Stupidity left unattended will run rampant Don't argue with stupid people, They will drag you down to their level and then win by experience

I like the Minox ZA3 I have but to be honest I haven't had it shot with it enough to really test it
