Thanks again fer the warm welcome! Tzone, I'm the opposite, in WI where I deer hunt with family it's all business and when when hunt with my buddies ( only hunted with them 9 years) it's way more relaxed/comradery and deer hunting second. I totally enjoy both, I just wish the serious hunting was first and the relaxed hunting was second. Such is life.

Funny thing happened today at work, I haven't seen a snipe by the deer shack in 3ish years or so and was talking about it to the coworkers last week, well low and behold when the owners of the company came back from lunch there was a dead snipe in the parking lot. Crazy thing is are shop is located just outside the warehouse district by the steel yards in Minneapolis! Poor way to die for him, must a got scared and had a heart attack or something when he was flying over all that concrete and steel during migration wink

LOL! Isn't that always the case? You prepare for the worst case scenario and are ready for that 450+ yard cross-canyon shot and they sneak in a bit more than a stones throw away...

Awesome job! Great bull.

I am still around. In the upstate here we got a lot of rain but where we are there was no flooding. Thanks guys for thinking of me. The rain has gone and the people in Columbia,SC which is 100 miles south of us and southward and eastward from there are trying to get back into flooded homes. It just makes your heart go out to people whose entire life's possessions are in homes that are up to the eaves in water.
Muzzle loader season for deer came in on Oct. 1st. and I have yet to go. Tomorrow is the last day for that and regular gun season starts Sunday. I hunt a lot during gun season with a muzzle loader. Always have.
I am going to try to go tomorrow afternoon and then Sunday afternoon with rifle. Success , if any , will be reported.

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70,it's almost a religion.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.
