Set cameras at tree line in the high eighties a couple mornings ago. Hit the springer run without the waders in the afternoon.
Lot of guys here running the edge and lapua. I'm perfectly happy with arrows, sevens and the two sixty.

Don't have a brake and won't put one on either.

I see you don't think much of Winchester primers. I personally use Remington 7.5's. A friend of mine uses Winchester primers. His NRA classification is High Master and he has made the Presidents 100 at the National Championships at Camp Perry twice. They must not be that bad.

I have a .338 RUM that I have considered re-chambering to a .338 edge. The .338 RUM is just fine, and re-chambering it won't really make a difference, I just want to do it.
It always made me mad that the .338 is shorter than the .300 and .375 ultra mags. I heard that .338 was going to be the same length but at the last moment they discovered that with on of the bullets on the market if you loaded it with the canular to the neck you would get higher than wanted pressures.

The biggest issue is mag length. An Edge length .338 in a 3.600" mag box seats some of the heavier high BC bullets so deep that the ogive is deeper than the mouth of the case. The slightly shorter RUM case can still get a grip on these bullets. My first Edge was shot as a single-shot because of this. My second has a 3.850"ish Wyatt box and the bullets sit properly in the necks, appropriately to the lands and still work in the magazine. Leaving out that I'm not overly thrilled by the Wyatt center feed system it works out. The .338 RUM case is a better design in this regard.
Life begins at 40. Recoil begins at "Over 40" Coincidence? I don't think so.
