It's always awesome to see a young one connect on a deer! Tell him congratulations!

Great job Joey! I got 2 boys giving it their all this year. Youngest first year hunter jj grazed a belly last night. Little drops of blood then nothing. Bummer. He's back at it today again. I'm sitting with my oldest boy now in the stand hoping to see one soon. Alot of wind yet again!
It is a silly fish that is caught twice with the same bait!

Good luck Buschy crew!
We got a deer stand built, checked a few cameras and even managed to shoot a grouse. We put on A LOT of work today but got it all done. Tomorrow is rifle shooting day and grouse hunting. We are beat now so we're going to grab some ice cream and hit the sack!

Being from da nort, above you for the last 10 years, but also an Aussie for the 39 prior years, I can vividly envisage the dreaded bull rhinoroo !! Don't let that buggar kick ya in da Crown Jewels !

We had 44 pics of does and fawns on Mini mans camera. I'm happy with that, since the deer are pretty scarce around those parts. Wired part is there are more daytime pics than night! I'm not sure why I bothered with the .223 Rem. He busted off a few rounds with the .280 and gave a [bleep] eatin grin and a thumbs up. Then asked if he could shoot the Mauser... "Sure buddy" I tell him. 8 rounds later he says "can I try the 30-06?" Yep! But it's loud. " I know, that's why I like it." After 4 shots and a lot of smiles, he wants the 7600 carbine.

Im really pschyed to go bow hunting in the am. have at least 5 legal bucks on cam, plus two smaller bucks,( needs to have at least 4 on one side) and went out this evening, and one of the smaller, not legal bucks came by, right on time ,right on the trail, within 20 yards, not once ,but twice. came in behind me, circled around came back around to my front stopped broadside at about 17 yards. Ive been bow hunting on and off, since I was a teenager, but haven't had any this close since the early eighties. never have taken one with a bow. there was also a dry doe, two does with two fawns, and one doe with triplets on cam. Im going to arrow the first legal deer that presents a shot. hopefully ,the three 8 pointers( see video posted here earlier} that travel together are the first ones I see!! its officially on!

I hope you get him Fluffy!
GG, the recoil kept getting heavier and his smile kept getting bigger. I'm not sure what to think! Lol
I shot about 60 rounds of 7x57, .280, and 30-06 today, so I'd had enough by the time he wanted to shoot. Shooting the .223 was a blast and I was smiling like heck! I want one of my own!!

Wish I was there Tom. I can see that ear to ear grin on Jack's face clearly. He's a tough kid, Tom, and I doubt he'd ever let you know if it hurt anyways. That boy lives to impress his dad. You're a very lucky man, Tom.
