A vacation was made to southwest Colorado the first full week of October to photograph the changing aspens in the San Juan Mountains near Telluride and Ridgway. Fortunately, a storm brought the first snow to the mountains while I was there. The first weekend without snow made the peaks look naked.

One morning we had a nice window appear in the clouds that allowed Mount Sneffels look over Dallas Creek. This may be my favorite scene of the trip.

Great image! For some odd reason our local cable system blesses us with two Denver stations. Both typically end each evening's news with a couple images from the region. The state is certainly blessed with an abundance of view property, especially in the fall.

I know what you mean about the scenery. When I returned to Flagstaff, it was hard to get excited about the fall aspens on our local volcano.

Very nicely composed!

Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.
