I didnt pay attention to the model#, it was blued with a grey flecked stock but was chambered in 30/06 and on clearance. If it had been something else, particularly short action, I would have bought it for sure. Did I really screw up badly?

That was a Model 24B and you definitely screwed up badly by passing on it at $750. Can you go back and buy it?

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
