Can anyone help me identify this rifle? It is a Remington 700 but I was not sure of the exact model. I called Remington and while they were very helpful, they could not find this particular SN in their database. The woman told me that it was likely manufactured in 1989. Is this just a standard ADL? Is it a KS Model? It is a 300 Weatherby and it has a blind box. Any help would be appreciated! [img] [/img]

Your rifle is "rare" left hand Rem 700FS model. The 700FS was not chambered in 300 Weatherby, only in 270, 30-06, & 7mag and maybe 300 win.
Either someone put another barrel on the rifle or aquired a FS stock and a 300 weatherby barrel and put the rifle together. The 700 FS model finish was not blue but a pakerized finish.

I have two LH FS rifles (only made in 1988 and 1989, a .30-06 and a .270 Win. The LH FS were not offered in .300 Wby., only the .270 Win., .30-06, and 7mm Rem. Mag.
Mine have a leaf pattern camouflage; the one in the photo looks like it might have been repainted. The gun may been rechambered or re-barreled. Do you have a photo of the chambering information on the barrel?
If Remington cannot find the serial number in their database, they are idiots.

Shoot straight, shoot often, but by all means, use enough gun!

Thank you everyone. My initial understanding was that this rifle was a KS (that's how it was advertised when I purchased it). However, I started to second guess myself when the woman at Remington couldn't find it. I may try again and hope I get someone else on the line.
Doc Encore, this stock is rough/ bumpy. The action and the barrel are both parkerized and the barrel has a Remington proof on it. It appears to be all Remington.
The rifle is pretty light and the recoil is stout!
I appreciate all of the responses.
