These seem to be pretty popular despite the company not being in business anymore. Did they make a good product? I found a well used one to temporarily house a Ruger 6 1/2" flattop until I can decide on barrel length.

It is well used but the price was good.I will eventually order a custom rig, possibly a chest holster.

Here is a picture (not my gun):

After a little Google this may be a model 120 that Keith helped design. The long tab on the strap was due to Keith's suggestion. Don't know for sure.

They are a serviceable if not fancy holster. Yours is not a 120, the 120 is the Tom Threepersons style that Keith was so fond of. I have a box full of old Lawrence, Bianchi, and Hunter holsters I've picked up here and there over the years and prefer the Bianchis but the Lawrence are nicer than Hunters for sure.

Sakoluvr - Thee holsters are serviceable and relatively inexpensive. Back in the late 60's LGS always seemed to display them alongside a newcomers (John Bianchi's) products. IF you didn't have the $$ this is what you bought. Interior was finished rough/nappy compared to Bianchi's, exterior finish not in the same league BUT they worked well enough. Scoped a 6.5 inch Ruger BH back then and cutout a slot for it in a Lawrence. The "Franken" holster worked...nuff said. Homesteader.

Before John Bianchi and Neal Perkins made holsters sexy, most gun leather was rugged, serviceable, and usually pretty plain. Lawrence holsters were well-made, and even today are well thought of by collectors. Yours has some great character, and someone looking for a period holster would probably snap it up at under $50.

Old_Writer - you comments are exactly what I re-call about these holsters, and others like them, from that time period. Homesteader
