They were/are poor shooters, but nice wall hangers. Barrel length and twist did not work together past 30 yards which is why Thompson dropped it. Shame. It would have been a nice treestand muzzy. I went to the Hawkens.

ur wrong.I have shot a couple of them.If you know what ur doing
and find the right load they shoot great.They were 1:66 standard patch round ball rifle and up to 31" barrel.You might be thinking carbine.Do me a favor and delete your comments off my thread!

Yes, you may be right, I probably don't know what I am doing, but, I stand by what I posted. They make good wall hangers not shooters. I hope you find and buy all that are offered to you.

T/C cut each grove one at time on the Pa hunter models, the barrels were not button rifled. The barrels were made the same as pre-64 model 70's and pre-1955 Marlin 336's.

We know how well they shoot.
