For many years I have used the Brownell's Latigo leather sling. I like it and it works well, but is not particularly lightweight.
What have you all found to be the best ina lightweight sling?

About as Light weight as one can get.
36" of 1" tubular nylon webbing plus two plastic strap adjusters.
For reducing slip, spread ShoeGoo where the sling hangs over the shoulder.
Hard to beat a Montana Sling but the DIY sling cited is worth considering if cost is a factor.
About 3 bucks in materials at most climbing shops.

I just bought a Unkle Mikes I think. Anyway it was marked ultralight mountain sling. It is light and has padding and hopefully antislip rubber. Sometimes the rubber gets like plastic when it gets cold, so we will see if it works. Seemed to stay on my shoulder in the house. My old sling is a viro velini, and it worked well, and not really heavy. Slings can be surprisingly heavy.

Earl. You've done it! I've been trying to find these for a few years now. These are almost identical to what is packaged with a Tikka. I kept them when I sold my T3 a few years ago and have been looking for more ever since. Thank you.

I have grow partial to the safari sling which allows me to carry the rifle at the ready position. Pretty handy still hunting the woods IMO!

It is one of two slings I own, the other a custom that came on a custom rifle. Anyone suggesting leather is not suggesting lightweight.

I just cannot find anything that suits me any better.

+1 on the Uncle Mike's/Blackhawk Mountain Sling. Found the last one I bought at Midway.

I have a final approach duck hunters sling. Light, quick to loosen or tighten. Although I almost never use a sling.

Because someone posted a link to Midway sling swivel I ordered a set. I purchased a yard and a quarter of 1" wide sling material. It weighs 6/10 of an ounce. I will probably loose at least an eighth of a yard by the time I finish. That is definitely light.
