ok guys, i'm typically an archery hunter and i'm going to make a weekend warrior trip to unit 27 near the milk creek STL and Tyler mountain area.

care to share your best advice for a newbie rifle hunter? i'm typically a walker and stalker.

one big question I have is about timing - typically with archery, i'm up before first light, in at camp late after dark... but it seems like a sunrise to sunset timing is more applicable in the winter.

i searched the previous posts and gleaned what was out there. thanks for your help! hope to post about the cow that went down...

thx!

Since fourth season is now over, this won't help you much but i can volunteer some info. I have hunted that unit for a few years now but usually for deer. PM me if you're still interested in that unit.
