'Cause that's the 'Bama alumnus, NFL great, and now Mississippi State University winning head coach that 'Bama passed over... like a bunch of damned fools. In return, 'Bama gets beat by the man that should be their head coach, on their own homefield, by a team that hadn't won an SEC game yet this year... and likely knocking 'Bama right out of any serious bowl contention... if any at all.
LMAO!! OK, now it makes sense! I apologize for my comments- my, how I've been conditioned!

VA, you gets da SEE-Gar! Fer all you non-college football savvy people on here...that is the Bama alum, one of "Bear's boys", that got passed over for the Bama job...but may have cost the guy who beat him out of the job his job at Bama. Its being touted as one of the most embarrassing losses in recent Bama history! Yes Bama lost to the likes of La Tech x2, Central Florida, and N. Ill. in recent years...but those were just laughers during a time of turmoil in the program. This loss came in the 4th year of Coach Mike Shula...post NCAA sanctions with a full roster, to a team that had not won a road SEC game in its last 23 tries...read as since 2000! And the man that didnt get the job at his alma mater, in the same city where he grew up and played HS football, went home and thumped the Crimson Nation hard and it was no fluke...and I assure you he got a nut over it! I am too!
For those asking...his name is Sylvester "Sly" Croom, and he's trying to rebuild a program that at its best is an 8 to 9 win per season SEC program, and more often a 6-8 win program. IOW, he's expected to do more with less, and he started with squat, AND then he came in and cleaned house! A solid guy? Yep! And that is coming from an Auburn man! More from an Auburn man..."Keep Shula...he needs more time"! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
