I thought mature coyotes were too smart to get shot.

How do you like Blitzkings in your swift? havent tried them yet. Are they messy?

kendricks, I mostly shot BK's or Vmax anymore.. This coyote wasn't badly damaged.. Shot one earlier in the mth. that took a BK head on.. typical position for a called coyote.. He never moved and the only indication he had been shot was the small patch of blood on the entrance wound.. I like them.. some times I save fur sometimes not.. For a fur gun and general coyote killer, I like it better than the 243.. Never fooled with the 204... If I am going bigger, I step up to a .25-06, .270 or 7mm mag..

Thanks, may have to give them a try. I love my swift and is my favorite calling rifle by a long shot. Have shot .243's, .223, 22-250, for coyotes and always go back to the swift. I try to save all fur, as you can probably guess I dont shoot a .243 much...

so Don, what sucks about your Tab cover? I like mine, but it looks like yours velcros on? Mine slips on, so maybe different versions?

TR, mine slips on and has little bungie cords wrapping it thru sewn-on loops. I can't tighten the frigging thing down enuff to keep it from slipping forward on recoil. 4-5 shots and it covers the built-in brake deallie.

Got a new to me bow this year and been trying to stick a monster deer but I can't pass up a coyote.

This one was a spot and stalk to as close as I dared then I lip squeaked him to 30 yards and drilled him.

Was in my stand when this one was mousing around and got too close.
