Good Morning, gentlement!!

Yesterday kicked off the VA general gun season, and I went looking for a viable Dink-A-Thon entry, seeing as how the competition has started out with several fine entries.

Saw a nice 10-pointer ½ mile from where we park, in the field beside the road. As a matter of fact, it boldly walked across the dirt road in front of the truck. But, it was pre-dawn and I haven't finely tuned my "Roadkill" drill. I continued on down to the Farmer's house (where we park) and we talked about it. One hunting partner that was right behind me had seen the deer also, and we continued on down to the rendezvous point.

I hunted all day, seemingly absolutely surrounded by Does. No Dinks, and no Bucks. Believe me, I was looking for indication of a Dink-A-Thon-eligible buck.

Saw another nice Buck. On the way home. After dark. Beside the highway, eating.

That left me wondering just where are the dinks?

Only a fetus will beat this one...

Stone Cutter- Brian, I know you are desperate to win the Dink-a-thon and conjuring up a story of "busted up" bucks is a novel approach. But Im not buying it.
You can't simply break points off when you get home in hopes of winning the coveted title!
The Judge ( me) sees right through that....


Until he's had enough Becky Creek or Blantons to blur his vision.

Ringworm: Hate to say it, but you've got a real contender there. A REAL one!



Shrap- We have had winners in the past that would shame Ringworms entry....and they were bigger than fetus, or even spotted stage. ( Except Vics all white dink, we couldn't tell if it had spots or not...)

But I took a head shot, with an Amax...from the bedroom...on sunday morning.
That's clearly a deductible scenario...
At least 5/8" worth net.

What's with the nose shot? I've never seen that one before.

With 2, entirely plausible thought processes.

1: Entice our stunt shooter judge

2: (& the more likely scenario) Blow the horns right off that sucker.

After my esteemed & logical thought processes, I humbly suggest that this entry be declared "void", due to the implied deception, noted above.

Paul, I'm not sure, but I think this contest, like any other pursuit, is won by the big-budget teams.

I simply can't afford as much Blanton's as some folks can. Well, I ain't gonna give all I buy away. OK, I'm going to see if my Sister has some extra money......
