And not our first doctor. We seem to have a good one now, but the one before did not know his ass from a hole in the ground.
Again, no personal disrespect intended, and BIG kudos for your work with a demented loved one... but acquaintance with one demented person, no matter how intimate, is no substitute for training and experience with a large body of demented patients. Dementia has many, many faces, and it takes a long time to discern the subtle clues. Calling someone clueless is a term of personal disrespect. As I said I have been down this road more than once. You said it takes a long time to discern dementia, but you are doing it though your TV set... And you are dead wrong about Reagan.

Forensic psychologist observe World leaders on a routine basis and can with some accuracy diagnose personality disorders and other pathology. It's all about behavior and behavior can definitely be observed.
It takes training to understand the significance of what is being observed, but it's not that difficult for those who know how.

Could be that Obongo would just as soon have a Rep. in the WH. That way, he's still leader of the Dem. party.
