I know some are probably tired of reading about SWFA SS scopes, which is understandable, sorry. Seeing most folks are mounting them on 308's & smaller.
My question is; anyone out there shooting/hunting with a 300mag full house loads or larger with the Super Chicken mounted on top? If so which one did you choose & why? Please add the scope mounts that you are using/used.

Most if not all are rated for .50 BMG which has a tendency to shread scopes even with muzzle breaks.

Anyone with money to shoot a BMG has the money to try out a SS. Give it a whirl and let us know how it does.
Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

Wasn't asking about BMG's & how the scopes holds up to it.
I'm looking to put one on a 300 magnum.

My point was if it's rated for .50 BMG, then it should hold up to a lowly .300 Magnum. Don't worry though Big Stick/Boxer will be along shortly to set the record straight.

I used a 10x rear-focus on my State Arms 50BMG for a significant round count with no issues at all. Not the best glass in the world, but tough. I have posted pics of that rifle with it on it here before. Edit: Probably 550-600 rounds with no issues holding zero or tracking. I think it would have held up to a 300mag with hunting loads. A buddy had one with side-focus that crapped out on his 50BMG, but the replacement was good-to-go.

I have a 16x super chicken on a heavy barrel .300 win mag, and a 10x on a sporter weight .300 win mag. So far they have been flawless.

Forgot to add,
The sporter weight (Tikka T3) has Talley light weight rings.
The Palma barreled long range gun has a set of heavy duty rings on a Picatinny rail.

Don't have one... yet, but common sense would suggest good strong mounts to handle the weight under recoil. Big Stick uses DD mounts, I believe, and he oughta know since he apparently owns half the SSs ever made.
What fresh Hell is this?

I've thought about one for my 338 Win Mag. I'm not worried about the scope holding up, I'm more worried about the short eye-relief causing it to bump me. I'm guessing folks aren't having a problem in that regard?

No problems with eye relief for me even on 15x on my variable. No issues n reliability with them either, although mine are not on heavy kickers. Mine are on a 243 and 308. I'm going to buy one in a week or so for my 30-06. Using Burris zee rings
