Finally got my hands on a box of 156gr Norma Oryx to try in my 7/08's. Would the 7x57mm recipe in "The Big Book of Gun Gack" be a decent starting point (reduced by 10%)?

I'd roll with Nosler data for 160gr Partitions/Accubonds.

That's Nosler 7mm08 data, to be clear.

I would probably use 7-08 data when loading for the 7-08 as well.

Westernmassman,

Yeah, reducing the 7x57 load 10% would be a fine starting point.

I prefer the 156 Oryx to the 160 Partition in the 7x57 or 7-08, since the Oryx usually expands wider at moderate velocity, so makes a bigger hole. But haven't had as much experience with the 160 AccuBond. It might work very similarly.

It's rumored that 22-250 data comes close... blush
