If the GOP pushes this too far and try to ostracize Trump and undermine what the polls have been telling them for months then they truly are more stupid than I could have imagined.
Win the battle, lose the war.
Fuggin idiots.
The leadership of the GOP would rather have Hillary than Trump.
Just as they preferred Obama to Ron Paul. The neocons knew that they could control Obama and they did. In fact, William Kristol referred to Obama as a "born again neocon".

You may be right but I sure hope you are wrong.

He's not wrong. They would rather have Hillary than any of the top three.
The only thing worse than a liberal is a liberal that thinks they're a conservative.
What I've gathered from this thread is that whichever Republican candidate is nominated, it's just proof the fix has been in for Hillary since the beginning.
Hillary doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell at being the next POTUS....
I believe this thread proves otherwise.
Only the election will prove otherwise...
Not at all. Your statement that she doesn't have a chance is disproven by all the infighting found on this thread. She does have a chance and it's thanks to those who claim to not be lieberals, yet appear to be committed to help lieberals win. And the only reason for that is summed up in two words: Donald Trump. Neither by coincidence but by design.
We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?
Immersing oneself in progressive lieberalism is no different than bathing in the sewage of Hell.
Okay, I'm with you. Maybe all of the top tier should go third party.
This is not an H. Ross Perot deal. IMHO none of the "top tier candidates" has any desire to do anything but what is best for the country, not sabotage the election which is what the GOP would be doing if any of this comes to pass.
The super PAC supporting Ohio Gov. John Kasich's presidential bid released its first direct attack ad against Donald Trump on Monday.
The 47-second Web ad is the first spot from the New Day for America super PAC in its planned $2.5 million campaign to knock Trump from his perch atop Republican primary polls. The super PAC previously released an ad featuring an image of Trump side by side with President Barack Obama but the ad Monday marked the first to mention the mogul by name.

The establishment would love to see this happen; any scenerio which gives them a plausible reason why their milk toast pansy candidate loses in the election will suffice.
Do I love Trump? Heck no. Do I dislike him less than others? In some ways. I'd love to see Carson win the nomination but am not sure he is "mean enough" to get the job done once in office.
One thing I KNOW is that what we've been doing by nominating the guy the MSM & establishment Party people tell us are "electable" hasn't worked. We can't do a Bush Rubio Kasich et al candidate. We need BAWLS like the Dems have.

If so then I suppose Bristoe is dead on.

My point is that maybe it's time that that the GOP be replaced by a "different" second party, since the establishment Dems and Reps are one and the same. It would make life a lot better if people like McCain, Boenher and McConnell weren't switch hitting.

GOP makes a deal with Trump thinking he wouldn't last - now they're trying to consolidate the laggers to band together against him in an effort to get their establishment candidate in.
So Trump is supposed to have some special deal? A free ride?
The Establishment is going to fight for their candidates. The Conservatives and Tea Party people will fight for their warriors. That is the way the game is played. Called politics. It does get down and dirty on both sides. Big money outspends little money.
We have to beat them at their own game and the THREAT of a strong third party is one of our best weapons. IF they believe the threat could turn real. That is why the GOP never worried about Ron Paul.
Trump will use this as a negotiating tool to have his way with the GOP. Good for him. But he needs a thicker tougher skin. And he needs to stop giving them ammo like this to shot him with. "I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down. And I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down. Thousands of people were cheering," Trump said.
The GOP does not want Trump and they sure as hell do not want a third party.

Nothing new there.
Nothing that has hurt Trump yet.
Since there's nothing new, nothing damaging, I bet that at minimum does nothing; and at max helps Trump.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich's (R) presidential campaign on Tuesday released a web ad that links Donald Trump to Nazi Germany.
The 60-second spot, titled "Trump's Dangerous Rhetoric," features retired Air Force Col. Tom Moe, a prisoner of war in Vietnam, speaking at an event before Trump's campaign stop Monday evening in Columbus. Moe paraphrases Protestant pastor Martin Niemöller, who spoke out publicly against the Nazi regime and spent years in Nazi concentration camps, as images of Trump's controversial rhetoric flash on screen.

The Kasich campaign last week shifted its attention squarely to Trump, arguing the real estate mogul is unfit for the White House. But the video is the darkest hit yet against the longtime front-runner by a fellow Republican candidate for president.
