Are the .22 conversion kits for the AR any good? Accurate??? Thanks.

Not unless you pair them with a rimfire barrel. But, I guess it depends on your definition of "accurate".

I skipped the conversion kit and purchased a Tactical Solutions complete M4-style upper. It shoots! In recent testing it outshot my 10/22 Ruger with a Magnum Research carbon wrapped barrel.

As BarryC said, a .222 bullet in a .224 barrel isn't really known for accuracy.

I prefer a dedicated 22LR

If your asking for precision the conversion kits are not the way to go. If you want to work trigger control, transitions, mag changes etc the .22 acts as a great training tool. My AA kit is a 2" at 50 yard gun with every ammo I tired but that is plenty of accuracy for how I use it.
