Uncle Sam is graciously sending me on a 6 month vacation early next year. I would like book a trophy (140+, no high fence) hunt for next fall. I have killed a few deer with a bow, but I'm more of a gun hunter. Any recommendations for a good, reasonably priced (say under $3k) hunt. My first thoughts are Missouri or Kentucky.

I live in MD so out West for a big hunt is a dream. But, if you don't mind hunting your own back yard, try Waccamah Hunting. Rick has something like 14,000 acres in leases, no fences. I think his rates are about 400 a day for a deer hunt. He provides two meals a day. He has an 8 point, 15 inch spread min. The big plus for me was you can shoot all the pigs you want for free. Coyotes, Bob Cats free also. I hunted pigs later in the year with Rick twice and really enjoyed the hunt. Pigs during pig season are not free. If you Google Waccamah Hunting lots of info pops up, Joe.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.
