I hunted Thanksgiving week with Wrightway outfitters near St. Walberg in Sask. This year was a much better year of deer sightings than last season. I saw quite a few nice younger bucks and was fortune enough to have this one present a shot on Black Friday while all the women folk at home are fighting over useless trinkets. Here are some pictures from the hunt Hunting in the snow sure is pretty Sneaky critters! Their doe are larger than all but our largest bucks! Dinner time!

He's got a broken beam and that saved his life. A very nice 8 pointer, just one with a break in front of his G3. Young guy with potential Another young whopper bodied buck A young 9 pointer that has a lot of potential if he can make it a couple of more years.

A 10 pointer with crazy mass taken by a fellow hunter. So I saw dozens and dozens of doe, fawn, and a moose. Many 2.5y and 3.5y old deer. At 2:57 pm on Friday I got my chance at this one. 6.5x55 Swede with 140g Partition. The deer went about 50y, tried to cross the shooting lane and died 5' from the trail. Being from the south, it's still always a shock when you see the size of these deer. They are huge. The puller is all the way up his back hooves are clanging the ceiling and his nose only 6" from the floor.
