Basically he was teaching to hurry up and hide your carry in a lock box inside the vehicle if you get pulled over. Then you don't have to disclose the weapon or the permit. If cop asks about lock box, decline search, ask for lawyer.

Some young man way up front of the classroom challenged him on this. "Wouldn't it be better to just disclose as soon as possible? keep your hands in plain sight, hand him your permit to carry along with your drivers license?"
Mr [bleep] (that's what I call him now), just smirked... Eye roll.... "Sure, I wish you the best of luck with that."
We left the class with our certificates, Myself and 3 ladies (my wife, my daughter and one of my cousins)
We were barely clear of the door when I stopped, addressed the ladies "Ok, all of that dumb chit he just said, never do any of that."
Another guy in his 50's was walking past when I said it, he just smiled with raised eyebrows, nodding his head in agreement.
The ladies, (even my daughter) all knew better. We talked about it in the car ride back home. Mostly disgusted and really questioning what it takes to get certified to give the training.
Class should have been called "Cop hate 101" or "Tactical Jesus."
