Anyone know of any current "deals" on these? Looks like several of the places I usually look to are out of the standard duplex. Cabela's appears to still have them and I'm considering burning a $30 coupon... My local Academy Sports and Outdoors has 3.5-10x40s "clearance priced" for $359.

The new ones will indeed be called VX-3i. There's about a $40 difference on the wholesale level, comparing the 2.5-8x36.

Cheaper...makes me think China.... Yep...sad day. Stock up now. Santa in the brown truck just dropped one off here, as I'm reading this. I ripped the wrapper off, and checked to see if the "C" word was mentioned. Nope, still says "USA * Designed * Machined * Assembled" My comment, was on what FUTURE replacement models MIGHT be...hopefully they will continue USA mfg. I won't trust my glass on my go to rifle to have China mfg. Just me. I know many might disagree, but that is me.
