Did you ever listen to the stuff that came before them? Go rent Jersey Boys and you'll understand.

As to Beatles or Stones? Which one was Clapton with?

The Stones. Just to answer the question.

Frank Zappa beat 'em both!

But...of the 2, the Stones were a much better rock band.

Beatles suck heavy ass.

They were the first "Boy Band" and ushered in the likes of NSYNC.

Pop in the extreme.

You should punch yourself in the dick for even mentioning them in the same sentence as the Rolling Stones.

Stones, Stones, Stones. Why? Rock and Roll should have that edge. Richards and Jagger have it. The Beatles were a nice pop boys band. The Stones were/are Rock and Roll. Our parents didn't like the Beatles hair and all the screaming of their daughters annoyed them. The Stones scared the chit out of them.

Not on the same stage, in the same building, the same universe--the Beatles lyrically, melodies, everything, by a whole note,.........ten thousand of them.

There is a generation younger than you, listening to Rap "music" and liking it, you aren't more puzzled by that?

Fixed it for you.

I liked a lot of the Beatles songs but I think my pick would be the Stones.

Have each played by an orchestra or a string quartet and get back to us on the musicality and the "growth" or "quality" of each.
