Hey all, I have a few Stihl chainsaws that I'm selling. I don't know how much interest there would be but I thought I'd throw them up here and see.
Stihl 044-rebuilt the lower end, top end has new rings, honed cylinder. All bearings replaced with Stihl brand stuff. $500
Stihl 460-Same as above $575
Stihl 660-This one has about 5months on it, really good shape. $800

There is obviously more to discuss on any of them if there is any interest we'll talk. Too much to type and I don't know if anyone on here would like any of these.

I still have my Stihl 066 with a 36" bar for big stuff, but have switched to Husky 455 and 550 saws for general work.

Dang, I just picked up an Echo 590.

All pro saws. Not sure if he listed them as powered only or with bars, but the 440 will pull a 24" bar, the 46 will go 28 and the 660 will pull a 36".
All three are among stihl's (or huskys)finest.

I use them all for racing, they all make good power with enough work done to them. Husqvarnas are just easier to work on for me.

Where I work we use Huskies, at home I use Stihl! We would use Stihl at work but the local dealer is a pain.

You will NOT see any Stihl saws for sale in the big box stores,

But you will see Huskys.

These are pro saws! The 044 is actually a rare 'west coast fallers' model. It was one of the early models for west coast cutters. It has mahl cyl.
I ran up to 32" bars full comp on the 044, 046 (460) size saws. The 044 really shines with a 28". The 066 will handle any Bing you put on it. I've used 48"+ bars on them. I grind my chain so they really cut. Any of thes saws will cut most any tree you want. Especially the 066.

Husky's are decent saws too, I cut with guys that ran husky but not too many of them. The older ones had a better power to rate ratio and ran real well.

Powerheads only. I can put bar and chain too but the shipping is hard, would require two separate packages. Do yourself a favor and run the Stihl lite bars. Soo much nicer, tougher too!

Exact opposite for me. I can tear a Stihl down and split the case and pull the crank in 20 minutes. I can't get a husky carb off in that amount of time. I am impressed with the 455 husky. It's a nice light little screamer. The balance on the husky's killed me. When you're cutting all day balance makes a difference! I ran a 660 shaved an ported with a 32" lite bar and full comp chisel, 7hrs a day, 6 days a week, no problem! Must of the husky's I cut next to were constantly broke down... It's a ford, dodge, Chevy type of thing. All the pro saws are good except for the new EPA Crap. These older carb saws are going to bring s premium!

Do you know if the 44 is a 10mm?

Passed this info along to a buddy of mine who has been looking for some better saws. I sent you a PM with an offer from him on the 460. I don't know much about these but he is always using his saws. Merry Chritmas!
