Looks like she'll be losing the front part of her foot for sure, and probably at least part of her lower leg.
It's hard for us to think of a better place for the clots to have lodged, though, if they had to lodge somewhere. Arms? Lungs? Heart? Brain? If we have to take lower leg, we'll take lower leg.

A good friend of mine lost his kidneys to this desease. Connie says the doctors have brought a couple of groups of medical students in to see her, just because her disease is so rare.

My friend Les went misdiagnosed for almost a year. They didn't find it until he went into kidney failure. He's currently awaiting transplant and they have a donor lined up, he's experiencing other medical issues that are delaying his transplant.

Very rare disease. If Connie needs an amputation, current rehabilitation methods and modern prostheses allow regaining most native function quite possible. Praying for the best outcome for your daughter.
