Toss-up between the LRF and Thermacell. Have used the dang Thermacell a lot more this year than I liked....

In the GPS smart phone category onx maps and back country navigator are amazing. Onx maps for the property lines wmu areas

Thermacell for sure, I always have one in the truck. Not sure it would apply to those in cooler climates, but down here it's a must have.

Range finder.
Never did cotton to GPS. Don't trust my life to batteries. I have a four legged long eared critter that has a built in GPS that I trust my life to.
Chemical hand and toe warmers are sure up there at the top though

GPS with the landowner chip is really handy.
Laser is even handier. I rarely use mine but it uber nice when you need it. Most of the time it tells me to get closer...

Windstopper garments would top my list. I hunt on the plains and the wind can cut right through you. I'm old school when it comes to a lot of stuff. I don't have a need for GPS because I can read a map and use a compass, I don't need a rangefinder since I'm not going to shoot at more than 350 yards and I can hold in the chest for that shot, I don't need a butt-out tool since I use the gutless method and bone them where they fall. But windstopper I need!
Be careful what you ask for because you just may get it someday.

I guess first thing comes to mind to me is the Thermacell.
I would have never bought one but I got one as gift couple years ago and I be danged if the thing dont work good.
Works much better once ya Utube thermacell refills and find you dont have to buy the expensive refills and can do them your self for about a nickel each. thermacell has changed hunting here in the south for the better. Can't think of a better gadget relative to 15 years ago. Not even close

My vote has to go to the butt out tool. They have been out for awhile and I haven't been able to bring myself to buy one let alone show up to deer camp with one until this year. And the damn thing works and works well. Bunging out a deer has always been a pain in the ass for me. I can do it and have many times but this tool is a snap and cuts the gutting time almost in half. Not saying one way is right or wrong , but I haven't gutted a deer in several years after been showed how to debone one hanging. Smart phone.
Because it has a built in Compass, Weather Forcaster, Satelite Imagery, Camera, Maps, Flashlight, plus my ballistic software, all in one small package. I've also got a Varmint Calling App on mine that works pretty good, too.
And not to mention the fact that I can text one of my nephews to come load a heavy ass hog or deer into the back of my truck.
A Range Finder would be the next best hunting gadget! I agree on the phone. A group text will pass the time. Plus keep you from walking when stuck in the mud. When hunting alone I'll text someone when out of the woods.

I'm pretty fond of the little chemical hand warmers. Hot pockets or hot hands or whatever the hell they are called! #1 hands down for me but mostly I use the toe warmers. The hand warmers are great too.
