Filson whipcords are great pants. I needed one size larger than my normal waist size. Not the warmest wool pants I own, but the best quality I have found.

I find the whipcords very useful for temps down into single digits . Colder than that and my west german mil surp cargo pants come out.
I wore them today moving firewood where I had to ride a four wheeler for a half hour in between working and they were perfect tly comfortable.
The first lite pants I also bought are being returned. Very then and I question how much wool is actually in the blend. They appear to be mostly nylon and are not warm at all. In fact not any warmer than a pair of Carhart double knee pants.

Btw the Kanab pants are cut like women's pants or something a hipster would wear. I prefer a traditional boot cut men's pants.
