Probably not the "hunting" you want to hear about, but I have shot several dozen rockchucks and a couple of coyotes with them in my .223.
I was shooting 69 grainers and their performance reminded me of a typical spbt Gameking or similarly constructed bullet.
That's a pretty small sample size I realize, but I'm REALLY tempted to run some 160s in my .284 calibers just to see how they would do in a larger platform as a result.

Dave Dave: I'm not too good and reading between the line. Did they blow stuff up or just pass through?

Formidilosus- How would you compare it to the 75 amax? Ballistics and terminal performance?

Thats more damage than I've seen with amax 75s, BUT I've not shot any deer that close with them either.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Dave Dave: I'm not too good and reading between the line. Did they blow stuff up or just pass through? They seemed to expand a bit and then went on through. it looked like I had shot most of them with a 70 grain Game King or similar type bullet. Form's picture with the 77s sums it up pretty well.

I have used them on a few coyotes and fox in a 223. I like them a lot I have shot 1000's of 168 jlk's. 1000's of 180's also. Basically the same as Berger hunting VLD's in my opinion. 168s started at 3000 fps and 180's near 3050. A great bullet for hunting in my opinion. LOL. How many accounts you got, Brad? The 69gr TMK opens fast and kills well. Butt shot coyote didn't take a step.

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

Rib shots leave a 2 inch exit. This is a goof picture from a thread on ARFcom. The SMK popps PD better than anything else I have used in 16 inches. Pretty easy to see difference in the 70gr VLD and the SMK.

Good info, thanks. I do hope the larger cal bullets performs as good. We should get some around here soon. I am itching to try the 155s and 168s in a 30-06. If the 30 cal selection performs well it might be a good alternative to 155 scenars.
