It's the last weekend of rifle, so I went on a meat run. Got a nice meat doe, 112lbs. 150yds, 120SST @ 2590 from a 6.8.

Looking fwd to some fresh lions with a little rice and gravy on the side.

While you might like the rice and gravy, the lions would probably prefer venison, rare.

I've got 3 deer that have been processed in Huntzville, Al. Driving down on Monday and will pick up the meat on Tuesday morning and drive back.

Had them made into steaks, polish kielbasa, Italian sausage and deer burger (50% ground sirloin). Should be around 100lbs of meat to last me and wife about a year. We eat venison, chicken and fish mostly.

Another down to wrap up our rifle season:

Dropped them both off at the processor on the way home, but kept some lions and strap to fry up for the wife and kids this week.

Have a good one,

Not really big, but nice size for that area. Its piney hills and iron ore with fairly small deer. For example, our 4.5yo bucks are typically 160. A large doe will run 115-120.

It's much different than our Delta farm land place where doe go 150+ and mature bucks 240-270+.

Guess you don't need the STW no more, I'll give you $1000 for it.

LOL

I have to admit that it might get a little dusty for a bit.
