The 1994 edition of Shooter's Bible, #85, copyright ©1993, pp.297-298, shows Winchester Model 94 rifles of various models available in these chamberings: 30-30, 32 Win, 7-30 Waters, 44 Rem Mag, 44 S&W Special, 357 Mag, 45 Colt, 307 Win, and 356 Win.
The 1995 edition of Shooter's Bible, #86, ©1994, pp.306-307, provides the same information about available chamberings, except that the 357 Mag is omitted. At the head of the table of specifications for these rifles, there is a note: "with 100th Anniversary Receiver inscriptions".
The 1994 48th annual edition of Gun Digest, ©1993, page 346, lists the Model 94 of various models (e.g. Trapper, Wrangler, Ranger) ) as being available with these chamberings: 30-30, 32 Win Spec, 7x30 Waters, 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum/44 Special, 45 Colt, 307 Win, and 356 Win.
The 1995 49th annual edition of Gun Digest, ©1994, page 336, lists the Model 94 with the same chamberings, except that the 357 Mag is omitted as it was in Shooter's Bible. The The book notes that each model of the rifle is "specially inscribed with '1894-1994' on the receiver."
I suspect that the Shooter's Bible listing of the 44 Mag and 44 Special as separate chamberings is an error. Both 44 Mag and 44 Special is likely to be indicated with both 44 Mag and 44 Spec marked on the barrel.
As shown by the copyright date, these books are prepared a year ahead of their cover dates, with the 1995 ediitons being prepared in 1994. This results in the 1994 rifles being described in the 1995 editions.
