The rifle is a Remington Model Seven with a 22" barrel.

I've tried h4831sc (59.0 grains), Fed215 primers, Rem brass with 160 grain Accubonds. I only got 2660 fps. This load was very accurate, but way slower than I want and showed pressure signs. This load is 0.5 grain below Nosler's listed max.

A factory Nosler Custom ammo with 160 Accubonds got 2800 fps. The powder in this load was of stick form and weighed 59.7 grains.

A factory Remington Premier ammo with 160 grain Partiton got 2900. The powder in this load was of spherical form and weighed 60.4 grains.

Anybody got any ideas of how I can at least equal these factory loadings? Thanks for the help in advance.

When I had my 7 SAUM, I used H1000 under a 160 Partition and broke 2900 and good accuracy. It was either 66 or 67 gr and took a drop tube to make it all work.

I ran my 7saum with 162 amax. My load was a mild H4831 @ 60.5grs. Speed was around 2850 fps with 24" barrel. Also used H4350 @ 59.0grs @ 2990 fps. both were accurate loads.

I load 56gr RL17 in RP brass with 160 Accubonds. CCI 250 for the primer. Makes almost 2,900fps. Worked in two different Model 7 SS rifles and has always been accurate.

I'll give it a try. I noticed Nosler's website listed R22. Did you try R22 or just stick with an already proven load?

I saw the RL17 load mentioned on a few forums and it was a shooter from the get-go at ranges out to 400yds. Never tried anything afterward. Great bullet at that speed.

I tried some Magpro powder today. Got some decent speeds(2840) and cutting hole type accuracy at 100 yards. Is there anything I need to watch out for using Magpro?

Still wish I knew what powder Remington has in that factory Premier ammo. I would love to be able to duplicate that load.

Magpro is really temp sensitive. It will not produce the same velocity between 20 and 80. I tried it and sometimes it produces exceptional velocity and accuracy. I've seen it lose 100+ ft/sec between 20 and 80 degrees.

What's the max powder weight for that load?

Not sure, but it's likely not far above 56.
