Is it doable to convert a Model 70 Classic CRF in 30-06 to something like a 375 H&H?

What's an approx cost? If it's cheaper to buy a 338 win mag to convert to a 375 H&H, then please tell me. They do not make the 375 H&H in left hand model 70.

it is doable but it is easier and cheaper to start with a magnum such as the 7 rem mag or 338 magnum.

Opening the boltface is a minor alteration in this case and counts for little. I would expect somewhere around the fifty dollar mark or less.Changing the mag box and opening up the loading port is more expensive than the boltface and this must be done with a 338 action as well. GD

You will also need the shorter ejector and bolt stop as well as a magnum extractor and magazine follower.

No, but I'm sure that MRC would make you a LH 375. That'd likely be less cost and certainly less hassle than converting a 30-06 to feed 375 H&H's. Going this route would also allow you to keep your LH 30-06.

They don't currently, but they did make left hand .375 H&H Safari Expresses in the past. They're out there.

I don't believe they currently make any left handed M70's.
