Fox pro is actually the next town over from me, so I like to support those guys. Anyway I can get a used Foxpro FX-3 digital caller with TX5-LR remote for 220, or a Crossfire with TX-505 remote for 300. Is either a good buy, or another choice? Generally woods are thick around here so 100 yard shot is unusual in most areas. I have zero experience hunting coyotes but I figure I wanted decent equipment to give it a try. I will most likely hunt with a friend.

I would definitely go with the Crossfire.
It's a few years newer model that has a way better remote and 3 features (Foxbang, Foxfade and Foxcast) that the FX-3 doesn't have.

Any unit with the TX1000 remote. I'd rather have a used caller with that remote, than a new one without.

I appreciate the advice on the Tx100 remote, but I can only get the deep discount on the crossfire withTX505. I will likely only use it a few times a year. From now to mid March is a good time slot, after that I shoot silhouette. Wish I did not care about money but I made a 300 dollar budget to try this out.
