Okay, I'll put you down for the rye.

Here's the story on that magnificent unicorn stud:

Moron was apparently bedded in a super thick, 1ac blackberry thicket, while I walked within 75 yards of him, climbed a tree, and was then cold trailed by the neighbor's walker hound. The now lobotomized unicorn remained bedded while the hound circled the blackberry patch, baying at the thing he'd 'treed' on the other side. Hound finally loses voice and leaves to roll in cat poop somewhere else, around 4:00. 4:30, unicorn decides coast is clear, and gets up and feeds toward my stand, offering no shot in the trash, but allowing me to judge that he really should be the LAST of his kind to snipe a doe on this land. Finally, at 72yards, he stretches his head too far up into a hole in the thick, to nibble a unicorn bud or some such, and ended up with a 180gr hand load, from a 16.5" 357 Maximum, putting a hole in him. The end.

PS: Does it matter if the seal is broken on the rye?

Two days left!

The Judge will be reviewing and re-evaluating the entries, and promises of bribes....

I can promise all sorts of bribes...by the case if need be. Delivery might be sketchy, but hey if all you want are promises we're good to go!

Important questions.

Do the Bribes have to be postmarked prior to 2-1-16?

If a Bribe is drop-shipped, do you have a means of moving it out of the street?

Are Bribes viable if shipped in multiple 270 ml containers?

To be viable...bribes should have arrived by now.

Judging by your questions I must think that you have not yet submitted a bribe.

This could move your standings in the contest....

I think we have a new contestant pulling into first place here. As the sole Judge of this years competition, and the Grand Poobah of all things, I will officially end the Dink-a-thon on January 31st. All entries must be submitted by then.

Its the rules.

Don't forget me, Fearsome One!

This was an antler-less hunt as defined by the state, BTW, and after all the brown was down and loaded in the truck I whupped out a flask of Buffler Trace and me & buddy quaffed it to empty!

Nah, just the pre-cursor to the official bribe.

After a great deal of consideration the Judge has arrived at the following decisions.....The competition was rough this year, but the winners are pretty plain to see:

FIRST PLACE: dvdgeorge- my buddy Dan! laugh His pictorial showing balls to verify and whiskey to bribe cinched the deal.

FIRST RUNNER UP: ColdCase1984 - This was a tough tough choice for the judge. Should any misfortune or scandal befall Dan, CC1984 can slip into the winners spot and feel the glory for the next year.

SECOND RUNNER UP: Vic in Va-what can I say...his entry wasn't an albino....

MISS CONGENIALITY- Ringworm

HONORABLE MENTION: must be given to Huntingnut and deer assassin

On the lower end of the list...last place finishers, we have the following...

In the Exotics category- Axis Deer- The Grand Poobah himself grin

In the South of the Equator Category- Red Deer- T_Inman

In the Mule Deer Category- Cold Case's nephew

In the Whitetail Category- dvdgeorge ( again!)

For those on the low end of the list, you simply can't shoot dinks unless you let the big ones pass.

Theres a lesson in there somewhere.

Should there be any challenges to the judge's decision you must always remember....

I an honored and privileged to accept the award on behalf of all dink shooters across this great nation!
I am also almost as happy winning last place in the whitetail category. It just show that with hard work and commitment one can go from last to 1st!

I look forward to my face to face meeting with the Grand One to share libations and bribes!

Fun thread, and educational as well as entertaining. Where else does the true character of our esteemed colleagues here on the 'Fire shine so brightly?
