The funds will transfer this Friday. Twelve days in Matetse 1 & 4 bordering Hwange for, minimum, buffalo and sable. I had the NH Win M70 416 Rem out a few days ago and we were fine though there is a bit more playing to go. Now the wait...

A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

Sounds like a fun hunt. I came pretty close to booking a buff hunt in Matetsi this year, but chose Nuanetsi instead.
A 2018 hunt seems like a long way out to pay a deposit. Did you mean 2016?
At any rate, looking forward to the hunt is always a lot of fun in itself!

BH63 I am tied up else where in '16 (brown bear in Alaska) and '17 (peacock fishing and Colorado mule deer) so I locked in '16 pricing for '18 with a deposit now. This through a trusted agent I have used a fair bit.

This through a trusted agent I have used a fair bit. Wow, you must live a tough life! I looked into a brown bear hunt as opposed to a buff hunt for this year, but I decided to go with the buff hunt, because I thought Zim was much more unstable as to the future of American hunters than a bear hunt (but I could be wrong!). Other than the airfare the costs were about the same. I can't wait to hear how your brown bear hunt turns out. I still have that on my bucket list. As I live in Colorado, I usually get a mule deer every year I draw a deer tag (about 3 times in every 5 years for my area). Good luck on your draw! BH63

Ed, let me cast one more vote in the "you suck!!!" category. Congrats on the hunt, in the Matetse, no less. Who are you hunting with? BTW, I have an almost-NIB 9.3X74R double rifle plus a schittload of reloading equipment & components for it that I'm about to put up on Gunbroker, unless you want to take it off my hands. For you, today only, special deal I got...

You're going to love Zim Ed. My Zim PH and his wife just left after spending a week with us. Lets just say he kindled the fire again. I'm thinking it will be Leopard and Buff for me in '18 as well. The wait is going to suck, but your life will be changed forever!

Whe're you fishing peacock? We fly into Manaus, spend the night, then hop on a charter to the northern side of the Amazon, fish for 6 1/2 days, fly out to Manaus, spend the night then fly out to Machu Pichu though details still need to be wrapped up for the latter.

Since you are unloading the double I would not mind getting the book I sent you back. Maybe bring it to the hog hunt?

Matetsi is a great place. I have hunted Matetsi 3 with HHK several times and accounted for lion and cape buff there, plus many species of PG. You will have a great hunt!
