It was a good day. Happy to see Peyton go out on top, and I'm sure he will retire - just perfect timing.
The only good thing about Kubiak coming to Denver was he brought Wade Phillips with him. The defense has played awesome this year. I know Peyton is old, and had a bad year this year and the end of last year, but good god...Kubiaks offense was lucky to put 14 point up a game. The big focus on the running game...nothing like being stopped at the line of scrimmage nearly every damn play...just made them the most boring fricking thing to watch all year. I loved to watch Peyton the last few years, but this was uber painful. I think this game was his first 'omaha' of the season that drew someone offside.
Other than that, it was fun watching Miller and Ware hanging on Cam nearly every play. Great game by both of them.

That win was all Wade Phillips and the Broncos D. They were uber.
Yup. I was concern with about 7 minutes left when the panthers pull within 6. And the Broncos kept going 3 and out. Hats off to the Panthers defense they played a very good game. But that Broncos defense played SUPER. Von Miller is one hell of a player.

Damn! Denver D got it done despite the old man. Congrats to them all!
Panthers got out coached in a big way. Their offense was shut down and they had no answer.
I downplay the "despite the old man". Manning had the smarts to not throw this game away, where a less seasoned QB might have. He wasn't the deciding factor, but he also wasn't a loser tonight. Old and smart get it done sometimes.

He took five sacks, threw a pick, and barely completed 50% for something like 160 yards.
I really like Manning, but he wasn't exactly an asset on the field.
He is a great leader and obviously did enough to help the defense win the game.

Fireworks all over Denver tonight. Happy D. Ware will get his ring. and Peyton will retire on top. Another outstanding performance by the Wade Phillip's Broncos defense. Von Miller was great again. Going to go to the celebration on Tuesday.

He [Manning] took five sacks, threw a pick, and barely completed 50% for something like 160 yards. And Manning still outplayed Cam Newton, which isn't even required - only getting the WIN is required and Manning did that too. The only argument you have is Denver didn't win big enough.

The only good thing about Kubiak coming to Denver was he brought Wade Phillips with him. LOL, he just won the super bowl, and was smart enough to get his offense to do what it needed against a really good defense. After losing not one but two starting left tackles with a 38 year-old quarterback who's lost his arm strength and not a step, but two steps.
A wise man is frequently humbled.
