Cruz is nowhere near a Reagan. He's more a Nixon, Santorum or Goldwater. Cruz is halfway between Ronald Reagan and Calvin Coolidge. Which is exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm betting a bunch of the ULTRA CONSERVATIVES in those states you are waiting on are long dead or moved to the states that already are RED. The USA hasn't elected 2 Democrat presidents in a row since 1852/1856. The only times a Democrat president has succeeded another Democrat president is when FDR and JFK died. Do we really want to risk this streak by nominating somebody who has a higher unfavorability rating than Hillary Clinton?

Trump is leading the polls in almost every state. If he holds then he secures a first ballot nomination by law. I don't know a less painful way to put this....... that's an extremely stupid statement. Delegates MUST support the candidate they belong to on the first ballot. They do NOT have a CHOICE in the matter. It Trump holds in the polls and wins the majority of delegates then it's over. Tell me where I'm wrong. Because polls don't equate to delegates. Like I mentioned earlier, Carson will be Cruz's Iowa Twitter karma for a while to come. There's no doubt that Carson's attack ads, like all the rest of them, will hurt Cruz. But I expect that Carson draws more of the "tired of politicians" vote from Trump than he draws Evangelicals from Cruz. That said, if Carson dropped out, Cruz would pick up more of his supporters than Trump would. And I don't believe your "5%" figure for a brokered convention. At this point, it's more likely than not. I can hope....... but I ain't bettin' against the House.

Wishful hoping is all it is. I'm hoping for Cruz to win it outright, but a brokered convention is in the best interest of the House, or Republican Establishment, if you prefer. BTW..... Fiorina could be a big help if she endorses Cruz. Much more than Palin and Trump.

Do you realize how hard it is to make the opposition accidently tell a reporter that they are quitting 30 minutes before a primary, make the reporter tweet it out to everybody and then mobilize everybody within a few minutes? That's GOOD.
