Nice snag there. Every rifleman should have a Mauser of some sort. That one there is darn nice. Enjoy!

Very nice! With those white lines, black forend and leather sling it looks good enough to be in a firearms museum. A vintage scope would be cool if you could find one.

Very nice! I believe that to be a model 3000, an early 1640 action with steel bottom metal. I really like the 1600 series or Improved Mauser action! IIRC, one of the magazines, Guns or Guns Illustrated, ran a destruction test circa 1964 of different rifles. The barrels were packed with wet sand and a blue pill load was fired. The only action that survived was the 1600.
Shew me thy ways, O LORD: teach me thy paths. "there are few better cartridges on Earth than the 7 x 57mm Mauser" "the .30 Springfield is light, accurate, penetrating, and has surprising stopping power"

That is a beauty!!! Would look sweet with a steel tube K6 in old school weaver rings...

I don't always shoot Mausers, but when I do...I prefer VZ-24s.

Pains me no end to say it, but that action just might be better looking than FNs.
Fine, handsome rifle. Good for you.

That's a beauty! A glossy VX3 3.5-10x 40mm would be my choice. In glossy Conetrol bases/rings; those things are "60s scope bling" in my mind !
