I have decided to steer my collection in a different direction and part with this rifle. A 49' 336 SC in 32 Winchester Special. I have been looking after this rifle for the past year or so, and can tell you its a great shooter. I've put around 100 rounds down the tube and I don't more than two boxes were fired through it before I got it.
Very good condition for a 67 year old. I have never seen a waffle top in person with so much bluing left. The bluing is almost perfect, a couple nicks on the receiver and some discoloring among the waffling. Zero rust or pitting. I would say 99% of the bluing is left.
The butt stock has an old repair that was done in the 50's or 60's by the original owner while he was in the air force. It was done well and does not affect the function of the rifle. There are some nicks & dents on the stocks, one on the forearm is kinda deep, aside from the repair, overall they look good. The stocks are probably closer to 90% with the repair.
It comes with a nice vintage Lyman peep 66LA (has two new apertures, hunting & target), the vintage canvas/leather case and 60 pieces of once fired Remington Core-Lokt brass.
I am asking $750 with everything, plus shipping. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Willing to trade for a Ruger AR556.
