I have a S/M model S made in the 1970's and it originally came with Conetrol rings and bases. Unfortunately the scope on it was toast and I had to remove the small cone screws that secure the rings with a left hand drill as they were very tight and the allen heads were stripped. I phoned Mr. Miller at Conetrol last fall and ordered four new screws and he said he would ship them immediately. I sent payment for them but unfortunately Mr. Miller passed away within days of our conversation. So I never got the screws and Conetrol is in the process of reorganizing according to their website and is not answering emails.
Anyone know where I can get some standard blued cone screws for the mount or failing that where can I find a decent base and rings, gloss blue for the rifle? Not a lot of stuff produced now for the older Steyr Mannlichers from what I can see.

Warne makes Weaver style steel bases for it.

These should work. I have a Steyr SL and the advertised SL Warne bases from Midway were correct for the rifle.

Thanks, maybe I will try the Warne bases. I like the seamless Conetrol rings but like I said, everything is on hold there following Mr. Miller's death.
