Assuming I get it sorted out, I may try the 55 TTSX in the new Ruger
Pat is that the new .223 Ruger no 1#
If so jump right to the 62gr TTSX
The 55's seemed to shoot okay, and will be faster. Accuracy has been erratic. I need to swap scopes and then figure out if that's the problem (the scope on it is probably bad).
Got this mounted up tonight. Thought I would be able to switch the light from gun to gun. But getting the light to shine were there the crosshairs are pointed took a little shimming bending and cussing. So it looks like if I use something other then the Faux Ti .223 I will be holding the light.

Loaded up some 87 speer hot cores for the old Savage 99 old school cool.

Im thinking of bringing out my Old 7mag Beretta Mato as well. Mounted a 2.5-8x36 Leupold on it tonight. It has killed all my big deer but never perforated a hog.

I've always been different with one foot over the line.....
My mount looks similar to yours but connects to another scope ring, and mounts directly on the scope. It is always pointing where the crosshairs are.... so Im thinking I'll go with it instead of holding the light in one hand and gun in the other like I did last time...
NICE buck BTW.

I may have to try a scope mounted holder. I thought having a removable rail would be slick it might work if I had a rail mount on each gun and just switch the light out. Ill make it work one way or the other.
Im getting antsy to hunt some pigs.

Got a favor to ask of those who are driving to the hunt.
Been a while since I've seen any Ramshot powder at all in my area, and I could use a couple of pounds of TAC.
If anybody sees some between now and then, I'd appreciate somebody picking up a brace for me. Don't everybody do it, though, because I don't need a dozen.
I will look this week as it has been readily available around here. Two pounds?
Two pounds would be great. Thanks.
Dan: I know I can order on line, but I want to avoid the hazmat fee.
My XL252 shipped today, so I should have it in plenty of time. Probably use it most often on the AR10's rail. But it comes with a barrel mount as well.
Hawk Bullets ain't answering email, so I'm not sure about .351 Winchester bullets
I recall shooting ".357" cast bullets out of my brother's 351 many years ago and they shot well enough to kill blacktail at 50 or so yards. Something similar and a Lee sizer would work on hogs.
