I've got some factory loaded center-fire Lapua ammo that came out of factory sealed boxes with split necks. No sign of ever being wet or other abuse. Showed them to a company rep and was told that "they were over 10 years old" and basically too bad, go buy new. I have cartridges that were loaded before World War 1 that have not split.
No more Lapua for me ever again. No way...no how.

I have used both and prefer Norma since it has been more consistent. Some Lapua 6.5x55 cases bought last year are very good though.

More opinions would be great. 260 rem brass isn't cheap from either company.

My limited experience has been Norma for my old 300WBY and Lapua for my 222....no complaints about either....

I bought 100 Norma cases in 7 rem mag from a member on the classifieds, supposedly once fired and they appeared to be.

I threw half away after loading and firing once.

I kill the majority of my critters with Winchester brass.
