Just like any sport, the better you get, the more you need to challenge yourself. If you don't have the desire to shoot distance, then you probably aren't much of a rifleman.

Ya' that's the ticket..........

ain't got a big loop turdy-turdy

and don't care much for shooting long distance.

and here after owning a couple hundred long guns and killing thousands of critters in the last 55 years I find out I don't qualify as a rifleman. LOL

One could almost get depressed.

on the run at +/- 15 paces.

a double, on the run between +/- 40 and 60 yds.

guess I'll have to be satisfied being a short range meat hunter.

Oh well, maybe when I grow up. LOL

Total pistola rookie but they are fun. Not as fun as rifles of course but...

If it's nice tomorrow afternoon we might drive up the road a little ways and blast some clays out in a stubble field.

The farthest I practice is 250 yards. The farthest I've killed is 300. I may not qualify as I rifleman but don't ever bet against me on a running shot under a hundred yards. I can do some things to a buck exploding from cover that most tactical marksman can't dream of.

don't tell anybody, I wouldn't want them to think I was a stunt-shooter, but the critters were mostly runnin'. I was stayin' in practice by going the other way, riding my ATV, rifle over my left shoulder(Righty on the trigger), looking through a handlebar mounted mirror. I'm usually 9 out of 10 at less than 75 yds.

No pix of blastin' walkin' catfish on the walk.
