Im driving down again. Gonna leave on the 8th and stay somewhere in Texas that night. It sure as hell aint gonna be the Super 8 I stayed in last year. I may take back roads down and stay off of I-35 in Texas the traffic sure sucked last year.

Bourbon in, check. Gin in, check. Vodka in, check. Cachaca in, check. Rooms made up, check. Jalapeno cheese sausage from my youngest son's deer last year in the back 40, check. Rifle, handgun and shotgun loads ready, check. This retirement schitt is killing me... grin

That is kinda what Im thinking. But I think I will take 35 to OK City and then head down to Witchita Falls and then Abilene Tx to catch 83 instead of going all the way to Oakley Kansas and then cutting South. Should be a better trip than going thru Dallas Austin and San Antonio. Might as well see some different Country ive done the I-35 route many times.

On another note my 7mm Mag shot a 3 shot group today that measured .300 outside of hole to outside of hole. Ill post a pic tomorrow. Faux Ti put a 50 gr tsx into the same hole as the 50 gr vmax so my varmint and pig load shoots to the same P.O.A. which is kinda handy. Savage 99 and Tikka 25-06 are getting rung out in the morning.

That sounds like the directions my wifes GPS gives. O you want to go Arizona Take I-80 to San Fran Ca go south on I-5 south to LA and then go east on I-15 to I-40 east to Arizona. eek

Its a shooter with one load and one load only. 140tsx molyed with enough RE-22 to hit 3200 fps and Fed GM215M primers. Any other powder, bullet or primer and it's lucky to shoot 1 1/2". It's a picky bitch. Now it doesn't always shoot as well as it did today but it is a honest 1/2" gun with that load. I still ain't liking the 2.5-8x36 scope on this rifle but it will work till after the pig hunt.

My fancy .223 Ruger is annoying me. Swapped a scope. Shoots patterns with 75 gr Amax, like the last scope. Checked weight and concentricity of loaded rounds, and they are fine. 55 TTSX are better, maybe 1.5" at 100, with 4 in less than an inch. I'll try bedding the forend, and different bullets, to see if I can get it settled down.

I got a chuckle out of the ferrari bit and Bobby wanting one for each of you. We need to turn this in to a campfire Cannon Ball run. Me and Jr. will snag a Bambulance and turn the woo woos on from the Bluegrass to the Lonestar state.

If we could just find the equivalent of Farrah to ride in the back...
