Looking to see what this might be worth.... I love the wood and thinking of making an offer. It's way too high right now, but I may make them an offer on it but have no idea what.....

No more than $500. Got a beauty with a bunch of accessories for a friend for $400.

Is $500 too much if it can be had for that? I love the looks but it would be a duplicate and only bought for the looks. I mean I'd carry it but it isn't like I NeED it.

Agree with FB,

Any drop in condition is going to take the investment value down with it. It's not a collector for the market IMHO, and and the $500 is above what the average Joe is looking to pay for a woods gun, even in new condition at Cabelas.

If you decide to sell it later, expect $350-400 to move it, at least in my area, if you can get a buyer. Especially if you have carried or shot it at all.

While the stock is very nice, the forearm looks pretty plain. I'd take a hard look at the stock screws and see if the stock has been swapped. Wouldn't be the first MGW stock that ended up on a different 94.

At the end of the day, it's your money. If the pretty wood moves you, then have at it. I've bought similar items for the same reason.

If you want one I have a Bill Cody Commemorative SRC for $500 plus shipping. It has a 20" octagonal barrel and some scroll work on the receiver. It's missing the ring.

I appreciate the offer but I'm going to hold off. I've got a 94 but this one just caught my eye with the wood.

You would be hard pressed to find a pre-cross-bolt safety that nice for 500.00 around here.

One can pick up a pre 64 for 500.00 but it will be well worn. Pre 64's in "nice" condition start at about 700.00 and go up from there. 500.00 is a good price for a mid 70's - 82 top eject WRA 94 in "like new" condition. I've seen several go for that and more on gunbroker in the past few years.

I am a sucker for pretty wood. But over 500 is too much imo.
