Food, shooting, bs'ing, meeting new 'fire folks

From the looks of the pics and the stories being told ...............

Seems I missed a good one.

Glad you all had fun. I'll keep it in mind next year. Did you all scout up a herd or two of javelina for me to hunt next year? Looks like decent territory.

Geno

PS, anyone heard from Seafire since the camping trip. He did make it, no? and if so, he got away alright? Perhaps he's taking the long way thru Vegas and Reno back to OR. grin

I am so glad I could attend. Great group. I am still on the road after seeing family in Tucson and PHX.

Tonopah, NV tonight with a terrible wifi connection. More later.

Geno - that general area is good javelina country. Maybe not absolute best - but very good.

Thanks, the photos show it.

I usually hunt earlier, during the HAM hunt, over in Unit 18 with friends. I was just thinking next year I might put in for general tag and hunt where the Tonto camp is and maybe get to meet a few of you folks.

No telling what next year will bring though, the way the wife and I move around for work.

I'm sure if I do come down to hunt that unit, folks here will give me the straight up on where to start.

Geno

PS, wife has a job application in for a position in Kingman, so I may get back to AZ if we get lucky. We're thinking we might want to retire in AZ anyway, and that would get us in the state at least.

Well, I finally wrapped up my 3082 mile trip today at 3:00 kinda tired and wore out but it was worth it !

A great big thank you, starting with the cooks but extended to the rest of the gang. It sure was great just to be there and get to listen to some great hunting stories. Almost makes I was young and tough again but just hearing the tales isn't bad.

With any luck, I will join up with you again in July.

Ivan
