From the looks of the pics and the stories being told ............... Seems I missed a good one. Glad you all had fun. I'll keep it in mind next year. Did you all scout up a herd or two of javelina for me to hunt next year? Looks like decent territory. Geno PS, anyone heard from Seafire since the camping trip. He did make it, no? and if so, he got away alright? Perhaps he's taking the long way thru Vegas and Reno back to OR.

I am so glad I could attend. Great group. I am still on the road after seeing family in Tucson and PHX.
Tonopah, NV tonight with a terrible wifi connection. More later.

Geno - that general area is good javelina country. Maybe not absolute best - but very good.

Geno - that general area is good javelina country. Maybe not absolute best - but very good. Thanks, the photos show it. I usually hunt earlier, during the HAM hunt, over in Unit 18 with friends. I was just thinking next year I might put in for general tag and hunt where the Tonto camp is and maybe get to meet a few of you folks. No telling what next year will bring though, the way the wife and I move around for work. I'm sure if I do come down to hunt that unit, folks here will give me the straight up on where to start. Geno PS, wife has a job application in for a position in Kingman, so I may get back to AZ if we get lucky. We're thinking we might want to retire in AZ anyway, and that would get us in the state at least.

Well, I finally wrapped up my 3082 mile trip today at 3:00 kinda tired and wore out but it was worth it !
A great big thank you, starting with the cooks but extended to the rest of the gang. It sure was great just to be there and get to listen to some great hunting stories. Almost makes I was young and tough again but just hearing the tales isn't bad.
With any luck, I will join up with you again in July.

Ok Gentlemen... finally got some time in my schedule to screw around with Web Pic Hosting sights... and had each one fighting me to down load pics from my camera on them... but after a lot of hair pulling and going to get my 21 year old son to make every thing "all better" here's some pics from the Ronde du Tonto Basin de la 24 Hour Campfire...2016 edition... Paul and Joe: Jeff, starting weed eater to clean up range shooting area... Ivan, Dennis and Paul planning morning shooting games, Prairie Dog Shoot: Joe and Ben Discussing Strategy, Ruby looking on.. Jeff ( Talus) in background getting the old binoculars set up and ready to judge... Dennis running the weed eater to clear the area out a little more...for prone shooters etc...

Ruby hiding from Paparazzi... Paul and judges trying to "get the show on the road" Jeff thinking to himself... I'm with the slowest group of guys on the planet:, Joe and Ed M in the background getting ready to go for the prairie dog shoot... Jeff checking out a "nice rifle" .... Darby: Lets get this show on the road!!! I'm going to miss Oprah this afternoon, if we don't get this show on the road!!!

Joe contemplating having to miss Oprah... RoadRunner 65 carrying what will be winning rifle up to the line.. Ed M, checking out Darby checking out the Spotting Scope...and Darby thinking, mine Cost 3 Times as much as this POS! Ruby thinking, "I'm going to bite someone in the crotch if they don't get this shooting stuff started and over with..." Dennis, Ivan, Jeff and Paul in background, getting ready to go... Paul and Jeff ( Talus) watching first shooter on line..
