Hey guys,
I recently picked up some 75 grain Sierras to work up prairie dog loads for my 25-06, and am looking for recommendations on powders that have worked well for you?
Thanks for any help!

My .25-06 shoots 1/4" all day long and I don't even have to do my part...

Like 10 ga. said I4350 is a great one.. I mostly use I4831 in my .25-06 with 75 gr. Vmax. Either one would be fine I think, one will shoot better or faster.. I think all around I have gotten my best speed and accuracy from I4831.

A couple of days ago, I tested 49.0 grains of Varget over Sierra 75gr HPs, and ignited by CCI 200 primers in R-P cases. That load grouped grouped tightly and the chronographed velocity was 3,250 fps out of a 22" barrel.

YMMV

Pursuit may be, it seems to me, perfect without possession.

Norma MRP worked great in my 25/06 with 75 gr. bullets. It is pretty good with the heavier range of bullets as well, so a useful powder all around in that caliber. Not sure how easy it is to find these days.....

I shoot the 75 grain V-max and was using around 48 grains of Varget and had good success.

Also have used the load data off the H4350 can with good success.

Just started working with IMR 4350 with 55 grains and this might be my new go to load.

Hope that helps.

51 grains of IMR 4064 will give you 3690 fps

According to Ken Waters PetLoads Handloader magazine.
I have used this and it is spectacular !!!

I used to shoot 55 grains of H414 or Win 760 under 75 grain Sierras. It proved very accurate in 3-4 .25-'06 rifles. It really scatters body parts out to a few hundred yards.

Believe it or not I used 48 grs. of IMR 3031 in two different guns with 75gr Seirra hp and it worked great , accurate and rough as any on Ghogs....
Same bullet and caliber using H414 is the only time I ever had a primer let go on a warm day......... My Rem . 700 bolt face still bears the scars of that incident!!!

I have used RL19 behind a 75 gr. Vmax for a long time. Very accurate and decent speed. Coyotes definitely don't like it!
