For sale is a nice 1977 model Japanese made Browning BLR in .358 Win. caliber. There are only four detractors on this rifle, the rear sight is missing, a scratch and small freckling spot on left receiver side and three small bumps on right buttstock. All are shown in the pictures.

The scope is a steel tube K1.5 Weaver with a duplex reticle in Leupold (I think, don't remember for sure) rings. The tube and caps have some issues as shown but it is bright and clear optically.

The rifle shows little use and the action works as if on ball bearings! A truly beautifully made rifle, made when steel and wood was the materials of choice. This rifle is far superior to the aluminum receiver versions made today.

I am asking $625.00 for the rifle and base and $700.00 for the whole package plus shipping/insurance of the buyer's choosing and at buyer's expense. I will gladly answer any questions.

The vertical streaks are from the lighting and are not defects in the receiver.

Reminds me of one of my old mentors that recently passed away.

I surly appreciated his great love of firearms, and his willingness to help a 12 year old boy hunt pheasants.

You're certainly missed Dale Browning... Yes, he was related to the great John M Browning.

I purchased a NIB Browning BLR Stainless with Walnut Pistol Grip stock in 358 Win off a member here several months back. Great rifle! Easy to reload for as brass is readily available as is a variety of bullets to choose from. Ammo readily available also. Not so with the 356 Win.

I also have one built in Japan that shoots beautifully and looks great. It will be going to Maine with me this Fall for black bear.

Not surprised that a bunch of us here at the Fire have these rifles.
